HOPE cannot be built alone

Every day at The Open Door Network, we meet people in their most vulnerable moments: mothers seeking safety, individuals rebuilding from trauma, and children who simply deserve a childhood.

They are our neighbors, our community members, and the future of Bakersfield and Kern County.

Our mission is to meet people where they are and walk beside them as they rebuild their lives, providing shelter, housing, workforce development, medical and behavioral health services, child development support, and pathways to lasting independence.

Yet the demand for services continues to rise. Our current facilities have reached their limits, and too many families remain without access to the help they urgently need.

This is WHY we are building a new campus: A compassionate, coordinated hub designed to expand access, integrate services, and create stronger outcomes for those we serve.

And THANKS to the generosity of early supporters, we have raised $30 million – 2/3 of the $45 million needed to complete this transformational project, but… we are not done yet…

HOPE grows when our community takes action. Together, we can open more doors -providing safety, dignity, healing, and opportunity for thousands more each year.
